Born: Auburndale, Florida.
Education: George Washington Carver High School Delray Beach, Florida, High School Diploma Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida, Bachelor of Science Degree (B. S.) Interdenominational Theological Seminary, Atlanta, Georgia, Master of Divinity Degree (M. Div.) The University of Central Texas, Master of Science Degree in Psychology (M. S.) New York University, Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph. D.) The International Seminary, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) United States Army Chaplains Basic and Advance Courses, the Command and General Staff College. Clinical Pastoral Education , Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC., Basic and Advance Courses.

Military Experience: Retired Colonel, United States army Chaplains Corps.

Pastoral Experience: 45-years Current Pastoral Assignment: Mt. Olive Holy Temple, Neptune, New Jersey.
 
Episcopal Assignments: Bishop for the Armed Forces, 1988-1997, Jurisdictional Bishop, New Jersey, First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ, 1999-present.

Marital Status: Widower.

Bishop Johnson is the author of two books: “Stoney The Road We’ve Trod: David Walker’s Concept of Freedom” and “Theological Approaches to Pastoral Care: Is Anybody Listening?” A third book is to be released, Fall, 2006, entitled: “Theology for the Rest of Us: A Layperson’s guide to Theology.” Both books are available at Barnes and Noble Book Stores.
